
Chianti Classico 'Brolio Riserva' Ricasoli 2022
The Chianti Classico Brolio Riserva by Ricasoli is a red wine made from Sangiovese grapes with a small addition of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It appears ruby red with garnet hues and has aromas of ripe black fruit, oriental spices, and vanilla, while on the palate it is fresh and has elegant tannins, with a pleasant and balanced persistent aftertaste.
The Chianti Classico “Brolio Riserva” is a Tuscan red wine of intense personality, where two international grape varieties unite with Sangiovese, the soul of the denomination. A classic, round, and harmonious expression, which undoubtedly demonstrates its ability to narrate the Chianti territory with experience and authenticity, also thanks to the immense prestige of the Ricasoli 1141 winery, the fourth oldest wine company in the world, which has been writing the history of wine in Tuscany since 1141. A label to which the fine tannin gives a particular elegance, responsible for a pleasant and smooth drinking experience.
This “Brolio Riserva” is a Chianti Classico produced by the Ricasoli winery starting from 80% Sangiovese, to which Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are added. The must obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes of these three different varieties ferments in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature, ranging between 24 and 27 degrees, macerating on the skins for a total of 12-16 days. The process then continues with the aging phase.final, in which the wine rests for 18 months in tonneau both first and second passage, until it is deemed ready to be bottled.
The Chianti Classico “Brolio Riserva” Ricasoli develops in the glass with a typically ruby color, crossed by flashes that tend more towards garnet. The nose opens up to a triumph of ripe fruit notes, enriched by spicy touches and a final hint particularly of vanilla. On the palate, it has excellent body, generous and broad thanks to a harmonious sip, which flows with freshness and grace due to a finely chiseled tannic structure. A label that encapsulates the main characteristics of the many soils that follow one another in Brolio, in a synthesis sip that year after year earns recognition from various international trade magazines.
