Zenato is one of Veneto's most famous wine brands and divides its business between two of the region's great terroirs, Lugana for white wines and Valpolicella for red wines. Founded by Sergio Zenato more than 60 years ago, the winery has retained a typical family character and is now run by his wife Carla and children Alberto and Nadia. The generational transition has not changed the original character of the estate or the style of the wines, which have retained a solid link with the traditions of the area. Zenato produces a range of wines of excellent quality, which faithfully interpret the characteristics of two extraordinary territories famous throughout the world.

The property has a total area of 95 hectares. Tenuta Santa Cristina is located in San Benedetto di Lugana, while Tenuta Costalunga is in Valpolicella. These two main estates are also joined by Podere Prospero in Bolgheri, with its vineyard of about four hectares. The Lugana area extends south of the wide basin of Lake Garda, between Sirmione and Peschiera, in an area characterized by a particularly mild and sunny climate, which has Mediterranean overtones and allows aromatically rich grapes to ripen. The soils of the ancient morainic amphitheater of glacial origin are composed of deep clays, ideal for enhancing the characteristics of Trebbiano di Lugana. Here great whites are born, fruity fresh and mineral, possessing an excellent prepension to aging.

The Costalunga estate is located near Sant'Ambrogio and covers 35 hectares, in an area already planted with vines in Roman times. The vineyards were built with terraces supported by dry stone walls, so as to ensure perfect exposure to the sun and good ventilation for the grapes. The soils are predominantly limestone matrix. The climate is temperate and characterized by good temperature ranges. For centuries, these lands have been home to the area's native red grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara, Rondinelle and Oseleta, which contribute to the creation of the area's great reds, Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso and Amarome, the true ambassador of Veneto wine throughout the world.
