The Aglianico del Vulture “Taglio del Tralcio” from the winery Terre degli Svevi - Re Manfredi is a red wine that, in its name, encompasses the origin of its peculiarity. The Aglianico vines, in fact, are slightly dried thanks to the technique of “taglio del tralcio”, thus enriching themselves with those sugars that are then found during tasting. A bottle with a young and fresh profile, immediately presenting itself with authenticity on the nose and in the mouth, and easy to pair in the kitchen, where it feels perfectly at ease with land-based menus.
The “Taglio del Tralcio” Terre degli Svevi – Re Manfredi is an Aglianico del Vulture that comes from vineyards located about 500 meters above sea level, characterized by a volcanic subsoil. The grapes ripen using the taglio del tralcio system, which involves a dehydration phenomenon of the berries, and thus a consequent slight drying responsible for the residual sugar that is then perceived during tasting. The must ferments in stainless steel containers, and the wine is then transferred to mature for 6 months in large wooden barrels; after bottling, it ages for another 6 months directly in glass before being released for sale.

The olfactory spectrum traces a progression of fruity notes enriched by hints of coffee and cocoa, adorned in closure by more balsamic nuances.
