The Aglianico “Scrypta” is a Campanian red wine that expresses elegance, power, balance, and the exaltation of the unique aromas of the Sannio Beneventano lands. Here, the Aglianico grape feels truly at home, bringing to maturity healthy bunches rich in fruity aromas, which on the nose also reveal a slight tertiary aroma developed during aging in barrique. A label by Terre Stregate versatile at the table, which pairs splendidly especially with meat dishes and selections of aged cheeses.
This “Scrypta” is a pure Aglianico that originates from parcels located at an altitude between 400 and 450 meters above sea level, within the area of the Colline Guardiesi. The vines here grow by sinking their roots into a subsoil characterized by limestone and clay, where there is an abundant presence of skeleton. The must ferments in steel containers at a controlled temperature. The subsequent maturation takes place in first and second passage barriques for a total of 8 months, after which Terre Stregate proceeds with the bottling and marketing operations.bottling and marketing.
The “Scrypta” is an Aglianico that presents itself visually with a beautiful ruby red color, concentrated and deep. The nose is filled with enveloping fruity aromas, which are then enriched in the finish by spicier touches and a slight hint of licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, and enveloping thanks to a flavorful and tasty sip, which continues with good persistence. A classic red from southern Italy, with which Terre Stregate pays homage to the grape-terroir duo, always capable of delivering winning emotions.
