L’Anghelu Ruju is a Sardinian fortified wine of great value, obtained from sun-dried Cannonau grapes, vinified in red with subsequent fortification and aged in centuries-old oak barrels for 10 years. It has an orange garnet color and a complex and articulated bouquet of dried fruits, figs, sour cherries, candied fruits, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is powerful, vigorous, sweet, and structured. A red for meditation!

A great sweet red wine, which ranks at the top quality of the category, demonstrating all the skill and experience of a historic production reality like Sella & Mosca. This Anghelu Ruju reveals itself on the nose and palate with a symphony of unique flavors and aromas, making the drinking experience truly stimulating. A bottle that comes from a meticulous and careful production process, which from the drying of the grapes reaches a slow maturation in wood, in a succession of phases where every detail is taken care of by the winery team with the utmost attention.

Sella & Mosca produces this Anghelu Ruju from the grapes of a great indigenous grape variety from Sardinia, Cannonau. The vineyards are located in the Alghero area, and only the best bunches are selected during the manual harvest. After picking, the grapes are placed on cane frames, where they are dried in the sun for about 15-20 days. Then the red winemaking continues, and fermentation is interrupted by lowering the temperature. After a stabilization in steel, the process continues with fortification by adding alcohol, and with aging, carried out in large French oak barrels for 10 years.

The Anghelu Ruju by Sella & Mosca is a fortified wine that presents itself in the glass with an extremely bright garnet red color, with delicate shades tending towards orange. The nose is intense, with olfactory sensations reminiscent of candied fruit and spirits, sweet spices, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, it has excellent body, vigorous, energetic, with a sip characterized by a savory and tannic vein; it has good sweetness and a pleasant freshness that enhances the drinkability. When the evening promises to be rich with thoughts and reflections, there is no better companion than this Anghelu Ruju.
