Auxey Duresses from La Chaume Des Lies is a pure Pinot Noir from clay and limestone soils cultivated organically and biodynamically. After maceration of the whole bunches and ageing for 14 months, the result is a young but very promising red wine with hints of cherry and red apple. With good ageing potential, it is excellent with escargot à la bourguignonne

When young, aromas of grape seeds, dark cherries, apple skin and plum; with time, the aromas become more intense, with hints of violets, potpourri and blueberry skins

Fruity, rich and pleasantly savoury when drunk young; more intense and complex, acidic and with fine tannins when drunk later in life
