'Bascià' Notte Rossa

The “Bascià” of Notte Rossa is a label that perfectly expresses the sunny charm and warmth of the wonderful land of our south. It is a blend of red grapes, capable of creating a proper taste balance and bringing into the glass the unique character of this thin strip of land, surrounded by the sea and beaten by the wind. The choice of a pushed maturation of the grapes contributes to creating a particularly soft, gentle wine, with a round sip and very rich aromas. It is a red suitable for accompanying grilled meats, roasts of red meats, or second courses based on game.

The “Bascià” is a red from the winery founded in Sava, in the province of Taranto, where it cultivates its vineyards in the splendid natural landscape of the Salento peninsula. The winery has always focused on Puglian native grape varieties, with the aim of creating authentic labels, capable of expressing the true personality of the territory. The grapes come from old vineyards cultivated in the bush training system, of red grape varieties.traditionally cultivated in the lands of the south. The climate is hot and dry, mitigated only by the presence of sea breezes. The soils are predominantly clay-based, with the presence of gravel and exposed rocks. The manual harvest of the best bunches occurs at a stage of slight overripeness. The grapes are destemmed, subjected to a cold maceration and then to fermentation at controlled temperature, with skin maceration.

The wine 'Bascià' by Notte Rossa is the classic red, with a warm and enveloping face. The balanced blend of grapes brings out the character of the territory and the typically Mediterranean traits of this great red. In appearance, it presents a ruby red color with slight purple reflections. Intense and rich, it expresses dense and complex aromas of plum, small dark berries, cherry, red fruit jam, notes of licorice root, vanilla, and soft oriental spices. On the palate, it has a good structure, with an evolved tannic texture and soft fruit. The sip is seductive and long, with a harmonious and very persistent finish. A perfect synthesis of a great terroir.
