The Blaufränkisch from Weingut Weninger is an Austrian red wine made from vines planted in ferrous clay soils, aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. It appears bright ruby red and releases intense aromas of blueberries, strawberries, and pepper with details of oriental spices and herbaceous notes, while on the palate it is soft and enveloping, with delicate tannins and elegant freshness, leading to a pleasantly vegetal long finish!
