Bolgheri Rosso 'Adeo' Campo Alla Sughera 2023
The Bolgheri Rosso "Adeo" by Campo alla Sughera comes from a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in barrique. On the nose, its fruity and fresh vein strikes, with aromas of cherry, rose, fern, and walnut husk, while on the palate it enters assertive and warm, supported by well-integrated tannins, vibrant freshness, and excellent balance
The Bolgheri Rosso “Adeo” by Campo Alla Sughera is a classic Bordeaux blend produced in the splendid territory of the first inland area of the Tuscan coast. It is made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, two grape varieties native to Bordeaux, which have found a second home in Bolgheri, where they express themselves at high qualitative levels. The label expresses the Mediterranean and sunny character of the territory, which gives pleasantly harmonious, aromatically mature, and balanced wines that represent one of the best excellences of all Tuscany.
The Bolgheri Rosso “Adeo” wine by Campo alla Sughera is a child of the Bolgheri terroir, an area of Tuscany that has entered the world of wine relatively recently compared to the classic areas of Chianti or Montalcino, but which has managed to establish a precise identity and typicity in just a few decades. The territory has proven to be very suited for the cultivation of the great international grape varieties native to Bordeaux, used to produce the famous Supertuscans. The Campo alla Sughera estate has 16 hectares of vineyards in different areas of the Bolgheri territory, with a central body in the prized area close to the Via Bolgherese, on medium-textured soils, tendentially clayey, with the presence of sands and pebbles of ancient alluvial origin. Fermentation occurs separately in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. The wine then matures for 12 months in French oak barriques and ages for 6 months in the bottle.
The Bolgheri Rosso "Adeo", produced by the Campo alla Sughera winery, perfectly reflects the style of Bolgheri wines, characterized by an international face, both for the choice of grape varieties used and for the winemaking and aging techniques. In the glass, it presents a rather concentrated ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses a bouquet with aromas of cherry, small berries, aromatic herbs, and a delicate spiciness. On the palate, it is enveloping and warm, with a soft mouthfeel, featuring harmonious fruit that unfolds towards a finish of great balance and persistence.
