The Bolgheri Rosso "L'Alberello" comes from a single vineyard with high planting density, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It is a full-bodied, well-structured wine, vinified in oak and aged in barriques for 18 months, with fruity and balsamic aromas and a smooth, intense and enveloping flavour

The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore “L’Alberello” from the Grattamacco winery is a classic Bordeaux blend, made with a base of Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by a balance of Cabernet Franc. It is an intense and complex red, very long-lived. While it is already pleasant to drink now, it reaches its full expressive maturity after a few years spent in the cellar aging patiently. Its Mediterranean and enveloping character is the result of the bright and sunny climate of Bolgheri, a true second homeland of the famous Bordeaux grape varieties.

The Bolgheri Superiore Rosso “L’Alberello” originates from the Grattamacco estate, located in the first hilly inland area between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, facing the coastline of the Tuscan Coast. The vineyards are situated at an altitude ranging from 100 to 150 meters above sea level, in one of the highest areas of the denomination, characterized by a particularly cool and breezy climate. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes used to create this label come from a single vineyard, about two hectares in size, cultivated as bush vines on predominantly sandy soils.clays with limestone presence. The best bunches are hand-picked and transferred to the winery for fermentation, which takes place in wooden truncated-conical tanks, using only indigenous yeasts. The wine rests for 18 months in French oak barriques and completes its aging with 12 months in bottle.

The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore “L’Alberello”, produced by the Grattamacco winery, is an interesting single vineyard label that well illustrates the peculiar characteristics of this area of the Bolgheri territory. In appearance, it has a dark ruby red color with garnet reflections. Complex and intense, it expresses aromas of black currant, blueberry, blackberry, sour cherry, hints of underbrush and humus, spicy aromas, herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, licorice root, and balsamic hints of eucalyptus. The palate is rich and enveloping, with deep aromas and dense, elegant tannins. The finish is harmonious, with fresh savory and menthol sensations. A great red to enjoy with a beef tagliata or game.
