The Bolonero is a red wine from Puglia made from Aglianico and Nero di Troia, vinified in steel. It features a pleasant bouquet of berries and spices and a full and fragrant sip, harmonious and with beautiful sapidity. A daily wine with an excellent quality/price ratio

The Bolonero di Torrevento is a wine originating from the northwestern Murgia, in the area near Castel del Monte. The history of the Liantonio family begins in 1923, when the patriarch Francesco returns from America and decides to invest his small fortune in some lands of his beloved Puglia: in Paolo del Colle he begins a rudimentary winemaking and extra virgin olive oil production. In 1948, together with his brother, he purchases a former Benedictine convent located in the "Torre del Vento" district, expanding and refining his production: two years later, the true Torrevento winery comes to life with the start of wine commercialization in Italy and abroad. In the early '90s, with Francesco Liantonio, a thriving business with a well-defined identity is born, now at the highest level in markets around the world.

The Nero di Troia and Aglianico grapes of the Bolonero di Torrevento are born in vineyards located about 350-400 meters above sea level. The soil is of alluvial origin and medium-textured, mainly composed of limestone and clay for an elegant and characterful final product. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers, but never excessively muggy, and mild winters, thanks to the influence of the sea. The harvest usually takes place between the second and third decade of October and is done manually. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation occurs with a short maceration on the skins; it ages in steel and rests for 8 months in the bottle.

The color of the Bolonero di Torrevento is an intense ruby red with reflections tending to garnet due to the prolonged aging in the bottle. The bouquet is broad and recalls sweet spices and berries such as blackberry and wild strawberry; on the palate, it is elegant, enveloping, and intense with a good harmony and a pleasant savoriness that balances the overall structure for a curious sip. Perfect when paired with dishes based on cuts of grilled and roasted red meat, local game, and aged cured meats; also interesting with aged cow's milk cheeses. Perfect for delighting the family festive table, tasting a product that encapsulates the genuine flavors of the Apulian land, becoming its undisputed ambassador.
