The Brunello di Montalcino by Fattoi is a red wine of great structure and intensity, aged for 3 years in oak barrels. Elegant notes of red fruit, wilted rose, and spices emerge from a concentrated and full-bodied texture, broad, energetic, and enveloping.

The Brunello di Montalcino from the Tuscan estate Fattoi is an expression that overflows from the glass with elegance and typicality, produced in the locality of Capanna, in the southern part of the Montalcino production area. Ofelio Fattoi purchased the property in 1965 and fourteen years later, in 1979, he started the winemaking business, basing production on a close relationship with the noble tradition of the area. Today, the approximately 10 hectares of vineyards are managed by Ofelio's sons, Leonardo and Lamberto, who with passion and expertise cultivate exclusively Sangiovese Grosso, the principal variety of the area.

Fattoi Brunello di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese Grosso from vines up to 25 years old, located about 350 meters above sea level. The rows benefit from the sandy and clayey composition of the soils, the Mediterranean climate, and excellent exposure. The grapes are hand-picked around early October and then undergo destemming and crushing, with the resulting must fermenting in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins for 15-20 days. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mass is transferred to large oak barrels of 40 hectoliters and French oak tonneaux of 350 liters for aging for at least 3 years. This is followed by a further long period of refinement in the bottle before being released on the market.

In the visual examination, Fattoi's Brunello di Montalcino reveals a bright ruby red color with a garnet rim. The nose is broad and refined, described by hints of small red fruits, withered rose petals, aromatic herbs, underbrush, and various spices. The taste is intense and elegant, fresh and flavorful, with an enveloping tannic texture that accompanies the harmonious and lasting finish. Thanks to its remarkable territorial adherence, this Brunello di Montalcino can be paired with local traditional dishes such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù.
