The Brunello di Montalcino by Giodo is a powerful, soft, and concentrated wine, characterized by elegance and a floral finesse that is almost feminine. After a maturation of 24 months in large barrels, it expresses aromas of berries, violets, and chocolate. The sip is smooth, rich, and robust.

The Brunello di Montalcino from the Podere Giodo winery is a red wine of great elegance, complexity, and structure by the famous winemaker Carlo Ferrini. The Florentine enologist, after making a name for himself both in Italy and abroad for his consultancy work with prestigious Tuscan companies and others, began his own production by purchasing 2.5 hectares of vineyards in the southeast area of the Montalcino territory. The Brunello di Montalcino Podere Giodo is produced with Sangiovese grapes coming from more than 15 different clones, specially selected for their low yields capable of ensuring the highest quality of the grapes.

The vineyards, planted in soils rich in skeleton and limestone at an altitude of about 300 meters, are naturally protected, given their proximity to Monte Amiata, from hailstorms or particularly intense downpours. The winemaking process begins with the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel containers using only indigenous yeasts and continues with a gentle and short maceration, without racking to avoid excessive extraction that could overshadow the elegance of the wine. The aging takes place in 500-liter oak barrels for about 24 months.

The Brunello from the Giodo winery is a wine of intense ruby red color, with aromas of red fruits including strawberry and cherry, ripe black fruits such as blackberry and dried blueberries, floral scents of violet and rose, finishing with hints of spices including chocolate and licorice. On the palate, it is slightly tannic, dry, warm, and robust with a persistent finish. This Brunello from the Giodo winery is a red with a modern style, rich and powerful yet endowed with great roundness and substance.
