The Cabernet Sauvignon from the Los Vascos winery is a fruity and soft Chilean red wine perfect for pairing with meat barbecues. This label is made with carefully selected pure grapes of the same name and an aging of a few months in steel tanks. The Cabernet Sauvignon from Los Vascos is a Chilean wine, the result of the work of a winery that for several years has pursued a philosophy focused on the production of unique and high-quality wines. The Chilean territory has always been considered an optimal place for wine production, to the point that it became the first exporter during the period when phylloxera had affected all the harvests in Europe. The winery was purchased in 1750 by the Echenique family and later by the prestigious Rothschild-Lafite brand, already renowned in France, who were able to renew and modernize production, marketing wines that could be authentic ambassadors of a territory with great potential.
About 40 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, the 500 hectares of vineyards of the winery extend, located about 130 meters above sea level. The climate is oceanic with mild temperatures influenced by sea breezes and a soil composed of clay and limestone, ensuring excellent wine quality. New grafts have been made to strengthen production and simultaneously, the yields per hectare have been reduced to improve the concentration of wine quality. After the harvest, alcoholic fermentation takes place in the winery with selected yeasts in steel; aging also occurs in steel for a few months.
The color of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Los Vascos is ruby red with brilliant reflections. On the nose, there are hints of dark red fruits like cherry and plum, with notes of cloves on the finish; on the palate, it is elegant and clean, with good balance and pleasant persistence; the presence of well-integrated tannins in the overall structure is enjoyable. Excellent when paired with grilled and stewed meat dishes; with first courses seasoned with vegetables and important sauces. A product that encapsulates the genuine flavors and tastes of the land from which it comes, perfect for barbecues with lifelong friends or to be sipped on winter evenings in front of a crackling fireplace with a good book as company.
