The Cerasuolo di Vittoria by Planeta is a red wine with its young and fresh aromas. Unforgettable notes of cherry, strawberry, pomegranate, and rose are noticeable on the nose. On the palate, it is pleasantly balanced with delicate tannins.

Planeta's Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a fragrant and fruity interpretation of this great traditional Sicilian wine. It originates in the southeastern area of the island and is made from a blend of two native grape varieties of the area: Nero d'Avola and Frappato. These are two perfectly complementary varieties. The greater structure and intensity of Nero d'Avola, is mellowed by the lightness and elegance of Frappato. The result of the blend is a red with rich fruity aromas, floral hints, great expressive immediacy and very pleasant drinking.

The red Cerasuolo di Vittoria is one of the many interesting labels from one of the most representative wineries in wine Sicily. Planeta was founded in 1995 and thanks to a precise strategic vision, directed only to quality production, in just a few decades it has carved out a leading role for itself on the national scene. Through its activities it has contributed to changing the face and perception of Sicilian wine, participating in a true renaissance of the island's oenology. Planeta is present in various areas of Sicily with several estates: Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi (Agrigento), Vittoria (Ragusa), Noto (Siracusa), Castiglione di Sicilia (Catania) and Capo Milazzo (Messina). Different territories, microclimates and soils allow Planeta to plant vines in the areas best suited to their needs, so that the highest quality can always be achieved.

Planeta's Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine is made from Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes grown on the Vittoria Estate, particularly in the Dorilli and Mogli plots, which cover a total of 34 hectares. The soils are characterized by the presence on the surface of red sands of ancient marine origin, which insist on a tufa substrate rich in limestone. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for about a week. The wine is aged in steel for several months before release. Cerasuolo has a bright ruby red color. The bouquet offers aromas of cherry, strawberry, small red berries, hints of pomegranate and floral hints. The palate is medium-bodied, with a dynamic, flowing sip, a center of the mouth with juicy, crisp fruit and fine, smooth tannins. The finish is pleasantly fresh, with a savory finish.
