Champagne Brut Grand Cru 'Vintage Ambonnay' Marguet 2018

This Brut Grand Cru “Vintage Ambonnay” is a Champagne with a refined sip that showcases its origin. It is indeed a blend of two grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, cultivated by the Marguet maison in parcels located around Ambonnay, an area classified as Grand Cru. The “Vintage Ambonnay” is a Champagne Brut Grand Cru that originates from the skillful blend made by the Marguet maison between two important international grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, present in the blend in equal percentages. The vines of these two varieties are cultivated within one of the most renowned Grand Crus in the entire Champagne region, that of Ambonnay, and grow in vineyards managed with biodynamic farming practices. The grapes, after harvesting, ferment in barriques thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, and then undergo a second fermentation in the bottle, as per the traditional production method.of the Metodo Champenoise. The wine remains on the lees for 48 months, after which the processes of disgorgement, dosage, and bottling take place. In this last phase, the detected presence of sulfur dioxide is very low.

The Champagne Brut Grand Cru 'Vintage Ambonnay' signed Marguet presents itself in the glass with a very intense golden yellow color. The bouquet of aromas that develops on the nose includes notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, enhanced by a pleasant touch of bread crust and pastry. On the palate, it has excellent body, silky, with a sip of pleasant freshness, very incisive and expressive; it finishes with a finale characterized by excellent persistence.
