The Vintage Champagne by Coessens is a fascinating and intense Blanc de Noirs that comes from the selection of a small parcel of Pinot Noir of Ville-sur-Arce, a small village in the Cote des Bars. The Vintage Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs “Largillier” by Jerome Coessens is the flagship label of this enterprising vigneron, who cultivates a small vineyard of Pinot Noir in the Cote de Bar, the southernmost area of Champagne. In this area, Pinot Noir expresses itself at high qualitative levels with wines of great intensity, richness, and aromatic depth. The aging of 36 months on the lees allows the Champagne to mature and offer a complex array of aromas, reminiscent of citrus, ginger, small red berry fruits, hints of pain grillé and roasting, and spicy and mineral nuances. It is a label suitable for those who love characterful Champagnes, particularly suitable for tasting at the table.

The Vintage version of the Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs “Largillier” by Jerome Coessens represents a fine example of the excellence of Pinot Noir from the Aube. Jerome Coessens comes from a family of winemakers and in 2006 decided to establish his own Maison to produce Champagne with a typically artisan face. The grapes come from a single vineyard of Pinot Noir located in Ville-sur-Arce. The particular composition of the soils, made up of precious clay-limestone marls and the microclimate of the area, gives particularly rich grapes. Following the characteristics of the terroir, Jerome produces structured, complex, and very fresh Champagnes, dedicated to lovers of uncompromising Blanc de Noirs.
