Champagne Nature 1er Cru 'Esprit Voyageur' Gounel-Lassalle
The Champagne Nature 1er Cru 'Esprit Voyageur' from Gounel-Lassalle is a delicate Champagne made from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that beautifully expresses the character of all three varietals. Fresh, fragrant, pleasantly savory and spicy on the sip, it strikes a broad and rich bouquet, where notes of pear and apricot are accompanied by slight honeyed, hazelnut and gingerbread nuances. A Champagne with great personality, very versatile in food pairings!
The Champagne Nature 1er Cru “Esprit Voyageur” from Maison Gounel-Lassalle is a label created by a family-run business. For more generations, the domaine has been producing artisan champagnes, which express the character of the terroir of Chigny-les-Roses very well. A classic blend of the three most cultivated grape varieties in the region: Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, it is a very harmonious, rich, and satisfying cuvée, ideal for tasting at the table with seafood appetizers or with a menu based on delicately flavored fish and simple cooking methods.
“Esprit Voyageur” Champagne Nature 1er Cru by Gounel-Lassalle is born in the prestigious terroir of Montagne de Reims. Thanks to a savoir-faire of more generations, the maison produces a range of labels of excellent quality. The estate has a heritage of prized parcels located in the territory of the Premier Crus of Chigny-les-Roses and others in Ludes, Rilly-la-Montagne, and Barzy-sur-Marne. The agronomic management is carried out with great respect for the environment and the company holds the certifications HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and VDC (Viticulture Durable en Champagne). The cuvée is composed of a majority percentage of Meunier integrated with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. At the end of the harvest, pressing and separate vinification for grape varieties and individual parcels are carried out. After a few months of aging, the base wines of the vintage are blended with a 30% of reserve wines. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a resting period in the maison's cellars for at least 2 years.
