Gounel-Lassalle's Nature 1er Cru 'Le Haut Belai' Champagne is a rich Champagne from the Montagne de Reims area, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The palate is enveloping and creamy, balanced by a fresh minerality on the finish. Notes of tropical fruit, hints of lemon and honey and delicate nuances of almond and brioche bread stand out on the nose. An elegant Champagne to try with vegetarian risottos

The Champagne Nature 1er Cru “Le Haut Belai” from Maison Gounel-Lassalle is a label specifically created to give voice to a single parcel particularly suited of the estate. It is a vineyard cultivated with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which has always been considered among the best in the Ludes area. The aromatic richness of the grapes and the partial vinification in wood give the Champagne a pleasant complexity and expressive depth, which translate into mature and broad aromas. It is excellent to taste at the table paired with roasted or spit-roasted white meats.

“Le Haut Belai” Champagne Nature 1er Cru by Gounel-Lassalle is the result of the passionate work of a Maison de Récoltant Manipulant, which offers artisanal Champagnes with a typically traditional face. The grapes of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir come from the homonymous parcel classified as Premier Cru and located in Ludes. The soil is characterized by the presence of gypsum, flint, and clay. Once the harvest operations are completed, the grapes of the two varieties are pressed

gently and vinified separately, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels. The base wines are then blended and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a resting on the lees of at least 2 years before proceeding to the dégorgement.

The Champagne Nature 1er Cru “Le Haut Belai” from Maison Gounel-Lassalle is a generous and satisfying Champagne, dedicated to those who prefer richness and aromatic intensity. In the glass, it presents a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, crossed by a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it is intense and elegant, with scents of honeysuckle, citrus hints, aromas of delicious apple, pear, fresh almond, hints of small pastries, vanilla, grilled bread, soft spices, roasting, on a mineral background with clear chalky sensations. On the palate, it is broad and rich, with mature, enveloping aromas and good expressive complexity, which stretch towards a very long, salty finish with lively freshness.
