The "Second Skin" Champagne Rosé by Ruinart is an innovative and sustainable version, made with a revolutionary recyclable packaging from paper of trees from eco-managed European forests. It was born from a long project that lasted 2 years which saw the creation of 7 prototypes before reaching the final solution. The eco-design is inspired by the Crayeres, the wonderful gypsum quarries of Ruinart. In short, a new eco-sustainable choice for a new future!

The Second Skin packaging is an eco-friendly case that doesn't use plastic, is completely recyclable, and replaces the classic Coffret. It's a choice in line with a refined style that also caters to the green sensibilities of the new generations.
Rosé Brut "Second Skin" is a Champagne that surprises with its perfect blend of refined aesthetics and the traditions of the oldest Champagne Maison. The desire to innovate is part of Ruinart's DNA. It was the first Maison to introduce a Rosé cuvée to the market in 1764, to purchase the chalk cellars to age its wines, and to begin collaborations with the world of art in the late nineteenth century. Following its pioneering vocation, Ruinart has created packaging that envelops the bottle like a second skin. The case is completely recyclable, made from natural wood fibres sourced from European forests managed according to environmental sustainability criteria. Its rough texture recalls the surface of the ancient chalk quarries, making it emotionally evocative even to the touch.
"Second Skin" Rosé Brut by Ruinart is a Champagne of great charm, made with an almost equal blend of Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne and Chardonnay from Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. After the soft pressing of the grapes, the musts of the two grape varieties are separately vinified in white. When creating the blend, vins clair from the vintage are combined with about 18-19% of red vinified Pinot Noir and 20-25% of reserve wines. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champagne Method, with ageing on the lees for at least 48 months. This results in a harmonious cuvée, presenting itself with a delicate pink colour and a continuous and fine effervescence. Elegant and delicate, it opens to the nose with floral scents, citrus aromas, pomegranate, raspberry, red currant, and soft hints of exotic fruit. On the palate, it has a good structure, with rich and creamy flavours, providing a sip of extraordinary taste balance and a pleasantly fresh finish. A special package for an elegant gift.
