Perfect to give as a giftThe Chardonnay "Villa Margon" from Tenuta Margon is a fresh and aromatic Trentino white wine that recalls a walk through mountain meadows. The white grape native to Burgundy is vinified in purity and matured partly for 10-12 months in wood and partly in steel. The color is pale yellow with brilliant golden reflections reminiscent of honey, the aromas released are typical of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and toasted almond. The taste is lively, clean, clear, and with a mineral finish and medium depth.
The Chardonnay "Villa Margon" from Tenuta Margon expresses all the charm of the great Burgundy grape variety, which has been cultivated with excellent results in Trentino since the late 19th century, both for the production of sparkling wines using the Classic Method and for still wines. The altitude, mild climate, and suitable soils have allowed Chardonnay to find a second homeland, becoming the most important white grape of the region. It is a white wine of great balance, harmoniously uniting the fresh and mineral profile typical of mountain whites, with elegant and complex notes due to partial aging in wood.
“Villa Margon” is the Chardonnay produced by the Lunelli family, owners of the famous brand Ferrari, in the homonymous estate. A small jewel located in Ravina, it includes a wonderful 16th-century residence, surrounded by vineyards situated on sunny hillside slopes, which have been dedicated to viticulture for centuries. The Chardonnay vines are cultivated using the traditional Trentino pergola system and take root in ancient origin soilsmorenic and alluvial, sandy in nature and rich in skeleton. At the end of the manual harvest, the best bunches are gently pressed, and the free-run must ferments partly in steel tanks and partly in oak barrels, using selected yeasts. The wine matures for about a year in steel and wood and after bottling, completes its aging with an additional 8-10 months in the cellar.
The Chardonnay "Villa Margon", produced at Tenuta Margon by Lunelli, is the most characteristic and identity-defining white of Trentino. An excellent quality label that pays tribute to a historically very suitable area. In the glass, it presents a light yellow color with bright golden reflections. On the nose, it releases an elegant bouquet, with aromas of orange blossom, almond flowers, lime zest, grapefruit, apple, melon, banana, white-fleshed fruit, hints of vanilla, and tropical fruit. The palate is smooth and clear, with aromas of good complexity, leading to a fresh, savory finish with good taste persistence.
