“Berardenga” is a Chianti Classico Riserva with an intense ruby red hue. The aroma opens with fruity scents and spicy notes, which then give way to darker tones of underbrush and graphite. On the palate, the fruity character re-emerges, complemented by a soft and enveloping tannin. Alcohol and structure are well present but balanced by a beautiful and lively freshness. A wine born to amaze, now as for many years to come.
March and April, the wine is transferred into barriques of French oak and into Slavonian oak barrels of medium size. In these wooden containers, the wine ages for a variable time between 12 and 16 months. At the end of the aging period, the various batches of wine, which have remained separate up to this point based on the vineyard of origin, are blended to create the most expressive cut of Sangiovese.
