A wine with a great quality/price ratio that is best appreciated with meat or earthy dishes. The sip, direct, smooth, and very fruity, is enveloped by notes of small red fruits, pepper, and a slight astringent sensation.
The extensive winemaking reality of the Rhône Les Vignerons d’Estézargues presents the Côtes du Rhône Rouge Domaine La Montagnette, a great expression of typicity derived from the traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Carignan. Although it is a cooperative winery, where 12 local winemakers are gathered for a total of 550 hectares of vineyards, Les Vigneron d’Estézargues exhibits traits uncommon to conventional cooperatives: predominantly organic certified vineyard area, with a small percentage in conversion, vinifications carried out without any addition of selected yeasts, enzymes, and oenological aids, exclusion of clarifications and filtrations of the wines, and finally, processing of the masses for individual subzones.
Domaine La Montagnette Côtes du Rhône Rouge by Les Vignerons d’Estézargues is produced from a blend of Grenache Noir (70%), Syrah (20%), Mourvedre (5%), and Carignan (5%), varieties grown following the principles of organic farming. Following the harvest, the grapes are transferred to a winery where spontaneous alcoholic fermentation occurs thanks to the sole intervention of indigenous yeasts, without the use of additives and oenological aids. The subsequent aging period takes place in stainless steel tanks for a few months, after which the wine is bottled without undergoing any clarification or filtration.
The Côtes du Rhône Rouge Domaine La Montagnette-Estézargues has a ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose ranges from aromas of berries and Mediterranean herbs to hints of underbrush, pepper, and cinnamon. The tasting is balanced between soft smoothness and juicy freshness, with light tannins that anticipate the final fruity sensations.
