The Crémant de Bourgogne by Maison Peguet is a fresh and elegant Metodo Classico, ideal for those who wish to broaden their horizons and discover interesting alternatives to the classic bottle of Champagne. It is a refined Blanc de Blancs from Burgundy made with pure Chardonnay grapes, which matures for at least 30 months on the lees. Thanks to the remarkable aromatic richness of the grapes, it offers pleasant fruity and floral aromas, enhanced by the typical notes of an evolved Chardonnay, making the sip intense and creamy. It is a perfect label to enjoy at aperitif time or with a delicate vegetable or seafood appetizer.
The Crémant de Bourgogne is the result of the passionate work of a small family-run domaine. Maison Peguet is now run by brothers Benjamin and Cyril and manages 5 hectares in the Chablis area and 3 hectares in Burgundy. The specialization in the cultivation of Chardonnay has led the Maison to produce excellent still wines and great Crémant de Bourgogne, with a small production carefully curated.artisanal. At the end of the harvest, the best Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed and the free-run must is fermented to obtain the vins clair. After a few months of aging, the various batches are blended and the final cuvée is created. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a minimum aging on the lees of 30 months before disgorgement.
The Cremant Peguet is a label of great personality, which expresses the refinement of the Metodo Classico with a great Chardonnay from Burgundy. The secret of this fascinating sparkling wine lies in the high quality of the base wines, which in the glass presents a bright straw yellow color, crossed by a very fine and delicate perlage. The bouquet is elegant and refined, with aromas of white flowers, citrus fragrances, lime zest, notes of white-fleshed fruit, hints of bread crust, brioche, and pastry. The sip is pleasantly soft and fruity, with rich and harmonious aromas, characterized by a clear mineral freshness.
