The "Donà Rouge" by Hartmann Donà is a red wine from Alto Adige made from Schiava, aged for a very long time both in barrel and in bottle. The nose is intense, articulated with aromas of fruit jams and sweet spices, with hints of mint and ginger. The taste is bold and soft, with a finish of remarkable persistence.

The "Donà Rouge" from the South Tyrolean winemaker Hartmann Donà is an intense and elegant wine, originating from the hilly area south of Bolzano. It is a red wine based on Schiava, the most typical indigenous grape variety of Alto Adige. It is made through a lengthy aging process, first in wood and then in bottle, which gives complex, evolved aromas and great expressive finesse. The fruit and freshness of Schiava and Pinot Nero perfectly blend with the structure of Lagrein, creating a very harmonious and balanced red. The classic aromas of small berries are enriched by notes of spices, balsamic hints, and memories of aromatic herbs.

The wine "Donà Rouge" is the result of the passionate work of one of the prominent figures in the South Tyrolean artisanal wine world. Hartmann Donà cultivates his old vines in Cermes, on very steep and rugged soils, with a strong presence of skeleton and mineral substances. An extreme habitat for the vine, which under these conditions produces little excellent quality grapes. The goal of Hartmann aims to produce wines that express the authenticity of the territory, trying to bring into the glass the nuances between the different types of soils. His wines stand out for their finesse and great respect for the varietal characteristics of the grapes. The interventions in the cellar are minimal and always made to maintain the expressive integrity of the raw material.

The "Donà Rouge" by Hartmann Donà is a great terroir wine, which highlights the great expressive and evolutionary potential of the South Tyrolean grape variety Schiava, too often underestimated, and instead, capable of producing great wines. The vines are 40-50 years old and are cultivated at an altitude of about 450 meters above sea level. At the end of the classic red winemaking, the wine matures for about 2 years in large barrels and completes the aging with 2 years in bottle before being released on the market. In the glass, it presents a ruby red color and on the nose recalls aromas of small red berry fruits, red fruit jam, notes of undergrowth, delicate spicy hints, balsamic nuances, and mountain herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a smooth sip and very multifaceted aromatic profile, with a long and fresh finish.
