Ciroc
Launched in 2003 by the Diageo group, the Ciroc distillery quickly became famous as the producer of the most refined vodka in the world. Forget potatoes, corn, sorghum, rye, wheat; Ciroc vodka is made exclusively from high-quality French grapes: Mauzac Blanc from the Gaillac region and Ugni Blanc from the Cognac region. The distillery is located in Chavenceaux, in the Poitou-Charentes region, where the harvested grapes are distilled under the supervision of master distiller Jean-Sebastien Robiquet, who creates a nectar with a fresh and smooth flavor.
The production process involves a total of 5 distillations, starting with 4 of Mauzac Blanc in steel columns and 1 of Ugni Blanc in a continuous copper still. The distillate of Mauzac Blanc, which reaches 96%, is then blended with that of Ugni Blanc, which is only 5%, and the final product is distilled one last time in a typical copper still used for Armagnac production. Some labels, among the latest launched on the market, involve further flavoring.
Quickly becoming famous in the United States and Russia as a symbol of luxury and high quality, Ciroc vodka has garnered attention and respect not only at celebrity parties and nightclubs but also among a public of refined tasters and connoisseurs. It is undoubtedly an innovative distillate, without precedent, capable of surprising with its delightful fresh and balanced flavor. Ciroc is a smooth and easy-to-drink vodka, extraordinarily pleasant, but it presents those aromas and that quality that can move even the most demanding drinkers, as only great distillates can.
