The Etna Rosato "On the Volcano" by Donnafugata is a light and fresh wine characterized by a beautiful minerality, produced with vinification only in steel. It has aromas of wisteria, flowers, citrus, and fresh fruit. The taste is subtle, slender, delicate, fresh, savory, and easy to drink

The Etna Rosato "Sul Vulcano" by Donnafugata is an elegant and savory wine with subtle scents and refined aromas. It is a rosé produced with grapes from the Nerello Mascalese vineyards grown on the northern slope of Etna, characterized by a cool climate and soils rich in minerals. The characteristics of elegance and finesse of the grape variety, combined with a delicate vinification only in steel, with a very light extraction, allow for the creation of a rosé wine with a floral and citrus profile, with a light sip that seduces with its immediate pleasantness. It is a perfect wine to enjoy with fish appetizers, shellfish, or with delicate white meats.

The wine "Sul Vulcano" is an Etna Rosato produced by one of the most important and famous wineries in Sicily. Donnafugata represents one of the companies that have most contributed to the revival of Sicilian wine. Founded in the 1980s, it immediately focused on quality, enhancing indigenous grape varieties and local traditions. From the first nucleus of vineyards in the area of Marsala, the winery has grown significantly and now manages 322 hectares divided into 4 estates in particularly suited areas: Contessa Entellina, Pantelleria, Vittoria, and Etna. On the slopes of the volcano, it owns 35 hectares of vineyards on the northern slope, in the municipalities of Randazzo and Passopisciaro, at an altitude of about 750 meters above sea level. The vineyards are cultivated in the districts of Montelaguardia, Campo Re, Calderara, Allegracore, and Marchesa, each characterized by particular soils in relation to the lava flows that have affected the area. The notable temperature excursions between day and night, the cool and very windy climate, allow the Nerello Mascalese to mature slowly with intense scents and aromas.

In the glass, it presents a soft and luminous pink. The olfactory profile is characterized by floral scents, citrus aromas, pink grapefruit, pomegranate, raspberry, and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is slender and dynamic, with a sip of delicate fruit that leads to a finish of vibrant mineral freshness. A perfect expression of volcanic wine, it is a label not to be missed!
