"Diciasettesalme" is an Etna Rosso with a volcanic and mineral character, coming from a selection of Nerello Mascalese grapes located at 750 meters above sea level on black sandy and lava soils. Notes of wild red fruits, bramble berries, mineral impressions, and marine sensations evoke an elegant, harmonious, and mineral freshness tasting experience.

The Etna Rosso “Contrada Diciassettesalme” by Cottanera comes from a selection of Nerello Mascalese, a native grape that expresses itself with territoriality, telling in the glass the typical minerality of the Etna subsoil. The nose is layered with harmonious olfactory notes, which then open to a round and satisfying sip, ideal for accompanying land menus where meat is primarily the protagonist. A bottle that is already very interesting now, which can still be left to “rest” for a few years, to enjoy it with a more complex personality.

The “Contrada Diciassettesalme” Etna Rosso by Cottanera is made from Nerello Mascalese grapes, grown in vineyards located about 750 meters above sea level. The terroir is obviously of volcanic origin, and gives minerality to the final product. The clusters are harvested by hand, and after arriving in the facilities dedicated to winemaking, they are destemmed. The selected berries are sent to the press, and the must obtained ferments in stainless steel containers at a temperature controlled. It then continues with the final maturation phase, in which the wine remains to rest for 8 months in large barrels before being bottled and put on the market.

The “Contrada Diciassettesalme” by Cottanera develops in the glass with a ruby red color. Clear and elegant is the ensemble of aromas that envelop the nose, starting from fruity nuances to reach hints of lava stone and more savory notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, broad and round, with a linear sip that highlights the savory soul derived from the composition of the terroir of origin. The tannin is fine, gentle, and well integrated. A label with which Cottanera has now consistently confirmed itself for years at quality levels worthy of merit.
