The Etna Rosso "Feudo" by Girolamo Russo tells the story of the fantastic Etna territory in every sip. The aromatic spectrum is of remarkable richness and finesse, where the minerality of the lava stone provides a backdrop to fruity notes with hints of tobacco and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it manages to find the point of cohesion between softness and freshness, structure and elegance, following a rich and perfectly balanced tasting journey.

The Etna Rosso "Feudo" by Girolamo Russo is his quintessential red wine. From the northern slopes of Etna, on volcanic, sandy, and mineral-rich soils, comes an Etna Rosso capable of surprising anyone. "Feudo" is made from Nerello Mascalese and small percentages of Nerello Cappuccio, in the vineyards of Contrada Feudo (Randazzo).

The bottles produced are very few, only 3500; a figure that testifies to Girolamo Russo's desire to focus on quality through careful and prudent competition among the plants in the vineyard and through manual selection during the harvest, usually carried out in the second half of October. The Etna Rosso "Feudo" by Girolamo Russo ferments in steel tanks for 8 days, with the indigenous native yeasts present on the grape lees, and then macerates for 13 days on its own skins. In spring, malolactic fermentation starts spontaneously, making this Etna Rosso even softer, smoother, seductive, and elegant.

Aging takes place for 16 months in used barriques, then stabilizing and rebalancing for 6 months in the bottle. "Feudo" by Girolamo Russo is an Etna Rosso that is broad, intense, and of remarkable elegance, endowed with a great structure and notable taste persistence, which evokes typical notes of cherry on one side and evident hints of Mediterranean aromatic herbs on the other. Drinking the Etna Rosso "Feudo" by Girolamo Russo will be like diving into one of the most fascinating areas of our Italy.
