On the volcano the sub-zones are called 'Contrade', and 'contrada Carranco' has been identified as the ideal place for the collaboration of two important producers such as the Piedmontese Borgogno and the Sicilian Tornatore. In the glass the color is quite light, but notes of great complexity come out to the nose: raspberry, red flowers, mineral sensations of flint and spicy sensations of black pepper. Full-bodied, in the mouth the tannin is persistent but the sip is smooth and silky. It's fine to drink it immediately, but it certainly has evolutionary potential
