Febo by Nicola Gatta is a white wine macerated on the skins, vinified in sous voile oak barrels, in the presence of oxygen. It expresses an intense and elegant body, conveyed by aromas of candied citrus fruits, hazelnuts and dried fruit, aromatic herbs and balsamic details, while on the palate it is rich and fresh, full, with brilliant tannins.

The “Febo” by Nicola Gatta is a histrionic and subversive macerated white, a characterful interpretation that overturns the usual expressive canons of the area. After all, it is known that Nicola Gatta is a true showman of Franciacorta, and the giant of Gussago manages to surprise us once again with a captivating liquid that is not for everyone. Nicola decided from the outset to transcend the usual expressive canons of Franciacorta, seeking to obtain liquids that are uncompromising territorial expressions and above all not standardized by market logic. To pursue this intent, all processes from the vineyard to the cellar are carried out with the least possible intervention, following the precepts of biodynamics and carrying out all fermentations spontaneously. One of the stars of the area, in continuous growth.

The orange wine “Febo” is obtained from white grapes selected by Nicola Gatta, owner of the namesake winery in Gussago in Franciacorta. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, the principles of Steinerian biodynamics are followed, using only natural preparationsnatural and a bit of copper and sulfur. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation continues with skin maceration for 100 days in empty barrels and concrete tanks.

The wine “Febo” presents itself in the glass with a captivating intense and luminous amber hue. A surprising nose, difficult to describe in detail all the references due to their variety and intensity. Definitely a striking impact, dominated by volatile sensations of enamel, which later make way for exotic fruit, quince, and walnut husk. A fleshy and tonic mouthfeel, characterized by fruit fullness and a vibrant contribution of salt and acidity. Out of category!
