The Fiano from winemaker Mila Vuolo is a Campanian white wine that expresses with character and strong expressiveness the hilly territory of Salerno, marked by the sea breezes of the gulf and the Apennine winds of the Picentini Mountains. It is a small production of just over 2,000 bottles each year, born from the hands of a winemaker who, in recent years, has managed to make herself known among enthusiasts of Campanian whites, becoming a reference point for the area.
The Fiano of Mila Vuolo comes from a small vineyard cultivated according to the rules of organic farming, located about 200 meters above sea level on the pre-Apennine hills of Giovi, just outside the city of Salerno, in a location with an ancient history called Passione. The grapes are hand-harvested and then destemmed in the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine remains to age on the fine lees for 12 months, slowly acquiring personality and depth.
good aging potential that allows it to evolve positively in the bottle for several years. In youth, it showcases an aromatic profile of lemon, flowers, white fruit, and almonds, with a marine background and pleasantly salty notes, while with aging it develops warmer aromas of honey, butter, pastries, and yellow flowers. The sip is fresh, juicy, invigorating, and very flavorful, with consistent salty and briny veins that recall seawater. It is a perfect accompaniment to seafood soups, shellfish, crudités, shellfish, seafood, and grilled fish. Its marine spiciness can enhance the generous and fascinating flavors of Campanian seafood cuisine, capable of transporting diners' senses to a sunny maritime landscape rich in aromas.
