It is one of the most prestigious labels of the winery, produced exclusively in the best vintages by keeping small batches of the Franciacorta Brut ‘Millè’ for a longer period on the lees, thus a degorgement tardif to put it in French. Originally, the wines from the family-run Muratori estate were presented under the name of the winery, Villa Crespia, but starting from 2020, the Muratori family preferred to showcase their products through the family surname to highlight their tradition, now carried on by Bruno and Giuliano Muratori.
Muratori Franciacorta Brut ‘Millè’ Riserva is a 100% Chardonnay from vines cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. In the winery, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing followed by the alcoholic fermentation of the must between stainless steel tanks and large barrels, the same type of wine containers where the maturation phase takes place.maturation. Subsequently, the sparkling base is placed in the bottle and added with tirage syrup for the second fermentation according to the Metodo Classico, associated with over 60 months of aging on the lees.
