Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero Camossi

The Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero from the Camossi winery is a fresh and elegant sparkling wine produced in Erbusco, in the province of Brescia. It is born from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes sourced from vineyards with excellent exposures, located at various altitudes between the municipalities of Erbusco, Paratico, and Provaglio d'Iseo. The vines, which are between 15 and 25 years old, are trained using the espalier method with guyot pruning on morainic soils characterized by clayey-silty soils. The winery is a historic family-run business, now managed by brothers Dario and Claudio Camossi who, thanks to their meeting with winemaker Nico Danesi, aim to produce bottles of great personality that enhance the terroir and the meticulous work done in the vineyard.

The Dosaggio Zero Franciacorta by Camossi is a non-vintage sparkling wine made from carefully selected and hand-harvested grapes at their perfect ripeness. The bunches, brought to the winery, are gently pressed using a vertical press and then undergo fermentationalcoholic, which occurs spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel containers and partly in barrique for a few weeks. At this point, the liqueur de tirage is added to the wine obtained for the sparkling process and refermentation of the wine in the bottle on its own yeasts for at least 24 months. At the end of the second fermentation, the wine undergoes disgorgement and the addition of the expedition liqueur, made only with must, to reach the desired dosage level, as per the non-dosé category.
