The Franciacorta Nature by Enrico Gatti is a Metodo Classico of rare purity and elegance. It is a refined expression of the best Franciacorta tradition, interpreted in a rigorous and essential way. It is a cuvée based on Chardonnay with a small percentage of Pinot Nero, which conquers the most demanding palates with an expressive cleanliness capable of bringing the grapes to the forefront in their fullness and integrity. The aging of 24 months on the lees allows the preservation of the elegant floral and fruity fragrance of Chardonnay, combined with the structure of Pinot Nero. The sip is tense and decisive, deep and dry, as one expects from a great Pas Dosé.
The Nature by Enrico Gatti is a Franciacorta that originates in the hilly area of Erbusco. The estate covers a total of about twenty hectares of vineyards, divided into various parcels, with vines that have an average age of around 20 years. The gentle exposures of the morainic hills, the sunny climate always mitigated by the nearby Lake Iseo, create the perfect conditions for bringing the grapes to full ripeness. The company was founded in the early 1970s and today is particularly appreciated by enthusiasts in search of sincere, direct wines that can express the characteristics of the territory without mediations or elaborations in the cellar. In Gatti's Metodo Classico, it is the vineyard that speaks and the grape is the only protagonist of the sip.
The Metodo Classico Nature by Enrico Gatti is a Franciacorta dedicated to lovers of zero dosage, who prefer straight and vertical sparkling wines, without any concession to seductive softness. At the end of the soft pressing, the grapes are vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico with a sur lattes aging of at least 24 months. In the glass, it has a brilliant straw yellow color, with a fine and continuous perlage. The olfactory profile reveals aromas of white fruit, floral scents, hints of exotic fruit, notes of bread crust, and slight toasted and dried fruit nuances. The sip is energetic and lively, with a mouthtasty and linear, which runs towards a finish of intense freshness.
