The Franciacorta Demi-Sec “Nectar” by Bellavista is a natural and sensual expression of a style and a territory, where different facets are combined together. It is a very limited production, boasting an extremely high quality level in the extremely reduced number of bottled wines. It is the authoritative signature of Bellavista that defines this rare sparkling wine as ‘a thought of ancestral contemporaneity’, due to its natural essence. The original production philosophy that moved Bellavista in the early 1700s now embraces technologies that serve nature and the environment. What results is a narrative rich in fascinating content, told in an elegant and refined language.
“Nectar” Franciacorta Demi-Sec Bellavista is obtained from only Chardonnay grapes, coming from at least 30 different vineyards located in the highest hilly area and exposed to a southern orientation. The fermentation of the grapes that give the base wine takes place in 30%in small white oak barrels. Once the winemaking is completed, this is bottled and added with a sweet must from the drying of grapes from the Bellavista vineyards. Ready for refermentation in the bottle, “Nectar” undergoes its sparkling process that sees it leave the cellar after 4 years from the harvest.
Bellavista Franciacorta Demi-Sec Nectar presents an intense straw yellow color enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. Its aroma recalls candied white fruit, flowers, and honey. An excellent olfactory-taste correspondence gives this Franciacorta great coherence and cohesion in its tasting phases. Softness and freshness interact in a fine and chiseled balance. It can be counted among those bubbles that can enchant the most diverse palates.
