Franciacorta Brut Saten Vezzoli
Franciacorta Saten by Vezzoli is a delicate and creamy sparkling wine, produced according to SoloUva Method, i.e. with adding must for the tirage and dosage, with an aging on the lees in bottle for 24 months. It has a smooth charcater, delicate and harmonic, with fragrant perfumes of white fruits and orange blossom. On the palate it is creamy, fresh and well-balanced
The Brut Saten from the Vezzoli winery is a Franciacorta that is made using the “SoloUva” method. This particular production process, launched a few years ago in Lombardia, involves the exclusive use of grape must in all stages of winemaking, thus abolishing exogenous sugars, in respect of the fruit and the enhancement of the terroir. This is why the Chardonnay grapes that give life to this Saten are harvested when they reach optimal ripeness – presenting an excellent sugar level - and not early. A label with fine aromas and a refreshing sip, which stylishly and identifiably enhances the Franciacorta terroir.
This Saten Franciacorta originates from the pure use of a great international white grape variety, Chardonnay, harvested by the Vezzoli winery team at optimal ripeness. The must obtained from pressing the grapes undergoes the first fermentation in steel, then resting in barrique for 6 months. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle, according to the production principles regarding the Metodo Classic, following the “SoloUva” method, which involves the exclusive use of grape must both in the tiraggio and dosage phases, without using any exogenous sugar. The sparkling wine remains to mature on the yeasts for 24 months.
The Vezzoli Franciacorta Saten presents itself visually with a straw yellow color; the perlage is fine-grained, with good persistence. On the nose, subtle and refined aromas are perceived, where fruity and floral notes alternate with linearity and order. On the palate, it has a medium structure, with a enveloping and dense sip, characterized by a pleasant fresh vein. A bottle definitely versatile in the kitchen: it pairs well with both typical aperitif snacks and finger food as well as throughout the meal, accompanying fish-based recipes.
