Giulia Erminia' Fiorano 2022
Artisanal
Exclusive winery
Organic and biodynamic"Giulia Erminia" is an important white wine from Marche made from Pecorino grapes, vinified and aged for 12 months in medium French oak barrels. From its golden hue emerge intense nuances of exotic fruit, flowers, aromatic herbs, warm spices and flint in succession. The sip is soft, round, structured but also energetic, very fresh and mineral
The “Giulia Erminia” from the Fiorano winery is a white wine rich, fragrant, and well-structured, produced in Cossignano, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche. It comes from a selection of the best Pecorino grapes in purity, an indigenous white grape variety from the area between Marche and Abruzzo, sourced from vineyards located about 300 meters above sea level on gentle and beautiful hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The vines that give rise to this fresh and energetic white are on average about 15 years old and are cultivated using the simple guyot method on soils characterized by predominantly clayey soils that provide all that concentration and structure that we will then find in the sip. The winery is a small family-run business, owning just over 8 hectares of vineyards cultivated using artisanal methods and following the principles of organic farming.
The Pecorino “Giulia Erminia” is produced with carefully selected and hand-harvested grapes around August. The bunches brought to the winery undergo destemming and gentle pressing then carry out the alcoholic fermentation at low temperature with indigenous yeasts in French oak tonneau for several weeks. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the liquid continues its aging in French oak tonneau for at least 12 months before being bottled and put on the market.
The “Giulia Erminia” Pecorino di Fiorano presents itself with a bright golden yellow color. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit and tropical fruit appear, including peach, pineapple, and mango, floral notes of white flowers and aromatic herbs, including thyme, marjoram, and mint, hints of sweet spices, licorice, anise, and a rocky mineral finish reminiscent of flint. On the palate, it is energetic, warm, full-bodied, and round with a decisive acidity that gives freshness to the sip and a broad structure. This wine from the Fiorano winery is a sharp white, but never rude, where persistence and thickness are outstanding!
