The Inti by Corte Sant’Alda is a white wine from Veneto with a golden orange color, born from an experimental production process rich in historical and artistic suggestions. Its name evokes the sun god of the Inca people, always depicted with a golden color, a symbol of light and warmth. As a "generator of life," it was revered by farmers, who entrusted its power to ensure the success of the harvests and vintages.
The wine Inti by Corte Sant’Alda is made from Garganega grapes from the Bine Longhe vineyard, located in the Val di Mezzane at an altitude of 350 meters. The vines were planted in 1998 and are therefore twenty years old; they are rooted in a medium-textured limestone soil, trained in guyot, and exposed to the south. Consistent with the winery's values, the vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, aiming to "accompany the vine on a natural path, without ever creating tears or tensions." In the winery, fermentation is conducted in uncoated concrete tanks shaped like pyramids, where the must ferments spontaneously in contact with the skins for about 40 days, taking on an intense golden color. After racking, the malolactic fermentation also occurs spontaneously, after which the wine remains in contact with the fine lees for a few months, reaching maturity.
The Inti is the orange wine of the Corte Sant’Alda winery, the result of a highly original experimental production method that looks to the past and is ideally inspired by pre-Columbian civilizations and their divine symbols in gold. This connection is suggested by the intense golden color that characterizes the wine, which is due to the long skin maceration for 40 days, a number that seems to evoke the 40 days and 40 nights of Moses on Sinai before he descended from the mountain and found his people worshiping the idol of the golden calf, or the 40 years of wandering in the desert before reaching the land of Canaan. The suggestions do not end here, and many other interesting insights could be found; thanks to an original, expressive wine.and interesting, capable of awakening the imagination, especially during tasting.
