Lambrusco Reggiano 'Quercioli' Ermete Medici
Lambrusco Reggiano 'Quercioli' by Ermete Medici is a sparkling red wine resulting from a careful selection of Lambrusco Salamino and Marani grapes. Fresh, lively and very well-balanced, it conveys fruity and floral sensations of raspberry and violet, granting a long persistence at the end. A wine to accompany Emilian dishes, such as a board of Parmesan cheese and prosciutto crudo, or tortelli alle erbette (tortelli with herbs)
The Lambrusco Reggiano ‘Quercioli’ by Medici Ermete is a Lambrusco with a dry and lively taste, highly gastronomic. It is a blend of Lambrusco Salamino and Lambrusco Marani, both varieties widely grown in the Reggiano area. In particular, Lambrusco Marani is characterized by its high acidity and remarkable color intensity of the wines it produces, while wines made from Lambrusco Salamino tend to be quite full-bodied and structured, also rich in color. With the Lambrusco Reggiano ‘Quercioli’, the Medici Ermete estate aims to offer the perfect synthesis between these two grape varieties belonging to the vast family of Lambrusco, with a product that is 100% Reggiano.
‘Quercioli’ Ermete Medici Lambrusco Reggiano consists of a blend of Lambrusco Salamino and Lambrusco Marani grapes, varieties grown in soils predominantly composed of clay in the territory of the province of Reggio Emilia. The estate's production vision is based on sustainability in environmental, economic, and social aspects, which is why the vineyards are managed to minimize environmental impact. After harvesting, the bunches are vinified in red through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins. Followed by the sparkling process in autoclave according to the Martinotti Method, also known as the Charmat Method, and the final bottling with 14 g/l of residual sugars.
The color of the Lambrusco Reggiano Medici Ermete ‘Quercioli’ is intense ruby red with a violet foam. From the glass emerge vivid aromas of rose, violet, almond, and berries such as raspberry and blueberry. Fresh, lively, and balanced sip, characterized by a pleasantly harmonious finish, with good fruity persistence. The producer's advice is to enjoy this Lambrusco Reggiano 1-2 years after the harvest, at a temperature of 14-15 °C.
