Organic and biodynamicThe Luberon "Alphonse" is a rich and warm red wine from the Rhône Valley made from Syrah and Grenache grapes. It is aged for 16 months in oak barrels and cement tanks, expressing notes of dark fruit, sweet spices, hints of toasting, and cocoa on the nose. The palate is broad and rich, with great intensity and complexity, finishing with long persistence.
The Luberon “Alphonse” Rouge from Domaine de Fontenille is a wine produced by a French winery, located in the renowned Rhône Valley, an area with unparalleled scenic beauty and soil suited for the production of exceptional wines, so much so that it has become one of the most productive regions in the country. The management of this winery began in the seventeenth century and over the years each generation that has succeeded the previous one has been able to treasure the acquired knowledge, transforming it in a contemporary key, making the work future-oriented. Today it is an oasis of relaxation with products known all over the world.
The vineyards of the Luberon “Alphonse” Rouge from Domaine de Fontenille grow strong and lush thanks to their south-facing exposure, which constantly allows sunlight to penetrate between the rows, ensuring a complete ripening of the grapes. Completing the quality picture is a soil predominantly composed of clay and limestone for wines with a full structure and character. The climate is continental with high and sultry temperatures in summer and rigid in winter. Once the harvest is completed, the grapes undergo fermentation in cement and wood, both alcoholic and malolactic; followed by aging in wood and cement for 16 months.
Visually, the Luberon “Alphonse” Rouge from Domaine de Fontenille presents itself as ruby red with intense garnet reflections. The aromas recall ripe red-fleshed fruit, with light hints of toasting and sweet spices; on the palate it is rich, full-bodied, and warm, with a marked presence of tannins that, however, integrate well into the overall structure. It pairs excellently with typical cuts of red meat from French tradition, stewed white meat, and flavorful first courses; interesting also with vegetarian dishes. A product to be enjoyed throughout the meal at the family festive table, savoring in the glass a wine that has all the genuine flavor of the land from which it comes, thanks to the responsible and attentive work of those who, every day, work the fruits of the land.
