The Lugana from the Ottella winery is a soft and fruity white wine, with an aromatic spectrum rich in exotic fruit, citrus, candied fruit, and mineral and saline hints. On the palate, it is round, velvety, juicy, and refreshing. Excellent to drink alongside first courses, lake and sea fish.

The Lugana from Otella is a territorial expression of great charm with a marked personality, characterized by a precious freshness and sapidity. The Lugana is the undisputed protagonist of the area south of Lake Garda, between the provinces of Brescia and Verona. The mild climate and the clayey and calcareous sedimentary soils have proven perfect for cultivating white grape varieties. The principal grape of the area is the Trebbiano di Lugana or Turbiana, genetically almost identical to Trebbiano di Soave and Verdicchio. In this particular terroir, it expresses itself with excellent results, producing fresh, fruity, and mineral wines, capable of evolving over time towards tertiary notes that develop hints of hydrocarbons. The Ottella Winery has always worked to bring the typical characteristics of the grape into the glass, combined with the mineral notes of the soils, to create a Lugana of great typicity and straightforwardness.

The grapes for Lugana Ottella come from owned vineyards cultivated in the San Benedetto area, on fine white clays rich in limestone.

After the manual harvest, the grapes undergo a soft pressing. The free-run must is started for fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. The wine then rests on the fine lees for about 5 months, still in steel, before being bottled and marketed after a short bottle aging.

The Lugana presents itself in the glass with a bright straw yellow color. The olfactory profile seduces with refined citrus notes, more mature aromas of tropical fruit, floral and mineral sensations. On the palate, it shows a good structure and aromatic fullness, with juicy and dense fruit, supported by a nice vein of savory freshness. It is appreciated young for its pleasant elegance, but it also has an excellent aging potential. Excellent pairings with fish dishes, soups, or delicate white meats.
