The Malvasia Puntinata "Cardito" represents an excellent interpretation of one of the most typical grape varieties of Lazio. It is a light and mineral white wine, with an intense bouquet, hints of yellow fruit and aromatic herbs, and a fresh, rich, and fruity taste.

The Malvasia Puntinata "Cardito" by Donato Giangirolami is a beautiful interpretation of one of the historic wines of our tradition. It originates in the area of the Castelli Romani, which since the times of Ancient Rome was famous for the quality of its wines, born from particularly suited lands and a mild climate. The Malvasia Puntinata is one of the many varieties of this ancient Greek grape widespread throughout the Mediterranean area, which expresses a harmonious, soft, and fruity wine. The vinification only in steel preserves the delicate profile of the grape, with floral scents, fresh citrus notes, and rich and fragrant aromas of white-fleshed fruit.

The "Cardito" is a pure Malvasia Puntinata produced by one of the reference wineries in the territory of the Castelli Romani. Donato Giangirolami manages a estate of about forty hectares, with many parcels in the classic area of the Castelli. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming on clayey soils with the presence of pozzolana and tuffs of ancient volcanic origin, particularly suited for white grape varieties.for white grape varieties. Following great attention in the vineyard, the wines undergo meticulous vinification, fully protected from oxygen, so that they can preserve the perfect fragrance and intensity of the aromas and the varietal aromas of the grapes. This is particularly important for an aromatic grape variety like Malvasia, which thus manages to express all its seductive richness and gustatory finesse.

The Malvasia Puntinata “Cardito” from the Donato Giangirolami winery in Castelli Romani is born from a manual harvest followed by a cryomaceration process of the grapes for several hours. The gentle pressing takes place under vacuum to prevent oxidation of the must, which is then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures for several months on the lees in steel tanks with periodic bâtonnage. In the glass, it has a straw yellow color with bright golden reflections. The bouquet expresses scents of orange blossom, white flowers, aromatic herbs, citrus hints, and fragrant aromas of peach and white fruit. The
