MEURSAULT BLANC PIERRE MOREY 2019 DESCRIPTION

Pierre Morey's Meursault Blanc is a Chardonnay of refined elegance, expressing the best qualities of a particularly fine terroir such as that of Meursault. The small Côte-d'Or hamlet, located south of Beaune, is famous for producing fascinating whites capable of combining freshness, complexity and aromatic depth. Wines with an unmistakable profile that are part of the elite of great white wines, enjoyable from a young age, but also possessing great potential for aromatic evolution as they age.

Meursault Blanc wine comes from a blend of grapes from Chardonnay vines over 30 years old, cultivated by Pierre Morey in a number of different parcels located within the territory of the Village of Meursault Appellation, namely: Clous, Corbins, Pelles Dessus, Cromin, Limozin, Sous-la-Velle, characterized by fine limestone-clay soils. In the countryside, Domaine Pierre Morey follows the dictates of Biodynamic agriculture, with the utmost respect for the environment. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged on its fine lees in barrels for a period of at least 19 months before bottling.

Meursault Blanc is a Chardonnay that perfectly interprets the finesse, elegance and depth of the great wines of this famous Appellation. A white of great charm, it brings out the best characteristics of Chardonnay, bringing to the fore the mineral notes typical of the Meursault terroir. The color is a rather intense yellow, with brilliant golden hues.
