The "Mietitore" by Tomassetti is a lightweight Trebbiano from the Ancona area, produced by a young winery in the Marche region. It was founded by two brothers in 2012, when they decided to take over the family lands to produce good and sustainable wine. The 'Mietitore' is a very fresh white wine, showcasing typical aromas of yellow fruit, wildflowers with slight hints of hay. On the palate, it shows a certain intensity but is extremely smooth and easy-drinking, with an intense sapidity typical of Adriatic wines.

The ‘Mietitore’ from the small family-run estate Tomassetti is a savory and dynamic white wine produced according to a truly sustainable agronomic and oenological philosophy. In fact, brothers Andrea and Matteo Tomassetti, who have taken on the family’s viticultural heritage by starting to bottle under their own label, refuse to use synthetic chemical products in the vineyards, respecting the health of the soil, the plants, and the environment in general. Furthermore, in the winery, fermentations are entrusted exclusively to indigenous yeasts, and the use of intrusive oenological additives is excluded.

Tomassetti ‘Mietitore’ is a Trebbiano Toscano from 40-year-old vines cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. The vines are planted in clay-limestone soils located at 110 meters above sea level with full east exposure. After manual harvesting in crates, 25% of the bunches are destemmed, followed by the soft pressing of the grapes, with the must thus obtained undergoing fermentationspontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks through the exclusive action of the yeasts present on the grapes and in the winemaking environment. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mass is transferred to cement tanks for maturation of 6 months on the fine lees before the final bottling.

The Trebbiano ‘Mietitore’ by Tomassetti expresses a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The aromatic spectrum opens with hints of white peach and lemon zest, soon joined by notes of yellow flowers, hay, and fresh honeysuckle. The taste is light yet substantial, fresh and drinkable, moderately intense, and with a strong savory imprint that lingers long on the palate.
