Present mainly in the Triveneto area, Moscato Giallo stands out for its pleasant and enveloping aromas, floral and fruity notes, a slight spiciness, and a delicately almondy finish. Alois Lageder's interpretation enhances the varietal aromas of the grape, with vinification only in steel, which preserves the fragrance, freshness, and aromaticity of the grapes.
The wine Moscato Giallo "Vogelmaier" is born in one of the most famous estates in Alto Adige. Since the late 1800s, the Lageder family has been involved in viticulture in the Magrè area. Today, they manage about 150 hectares of vineyards located in various areas of Alto Adige, allowing them to cultivate each variety in the area that presents the most suitable soils and microclimate. The goal is to produce wines that are a faithful and authentic expression of the grape-terroir union, with a rigorous approach and the goal of maximum quality. In the countryside, the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture are followed to preserve environmental biodiversity and create a harmonious relationship with the natural context. Following the meticulous attention to work in the vineyard, there is careful work in the cellar, where the aim is to favor the natural process of transforming the musts into wine, intervening as little as possible.
The "Vogelmaier" by Alois Lageder is produced with Moscato Giallo grapes from the homonymous estate. The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, on light and draining soils, mainly composed of gravel and glacial and alluvial sands. At the end of the gentle pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel tanks.
