Muller Thurgau 'Palai' Pojer e Sandri 2024
The "Palai" by Pojer e Sandri is a white wine made from Muller Thurgau grapes with an exquisitely aromatic and fragrant profile. Vinified exclusively in stainless steel tanks, it offers a nose with its pronounced notes of aromatic herbs, loquat, fresh flowers, and lime with hints of almond in the background. Fresh, subtle, and with enticing minerality on the palate
Pojer e Sandri's "Palai" is a Trentino white made from Muller Thurgau, a grape variety created in the late 19th century by crossing Riesling and Madeleine Royale. It is a variety that has proven particularly suited to the cool climate of Trentino, where it is grown at altitude. It is a mountain white with a typical varietal profile, expressing a rich bouquet, characterized mainly by citrus and fragrant fruit aromas of great intensity and balanced freshness. It is an elegant wine, particularly suitable to be enjoyed at aperitif time or to accompany seafood appetizers.
Muller Thurgau "Palai" is one of the most interesting labels in Pojer e Sandri's classic line. The winery founded in the mid-1970s by the fortunate meeting of Fiorentino Sandri and Mario Pojer, today represents a sure reference point for Trentino wine. Moved by a great passion for the territory and a marked predisposition for experimentation and innovation, Pojer and Sandri have contributed decisively to the renewal of Trentino wine production, creating a style made of excellence and elegance. The winery's philosophy has always been geared toward producing labels that can speak directly to the characteristics of the terroir and express the best qualities of each individual variety. Great attention in the vineyard is followed by scrupulous vinification, which seeks to preserve the musts and wine as much as possible from the risk of oxidation, which could compromise the aromatic purity of the wine.
The Muller Thurgau "Palai" wine from the famous Trentino winery Pojer e Sandri sees the light of day in the vineyards cultivated in Palai at an altitude between 550 and 750 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, and before bottling, the wine rests several months in steel tanks. In the glass it has a pale straw yellow color. The bouquet gives floral sensations, fragrant aromas of citrus, white fruit, slight tropical hints and a delicately almondy finish, harmonious and of balanced freshness.
