Muller Thurgau Tramin 2025
The Muller Thurgau from Tramin is a white wine from South Tyrol coming from the Adige Valley and aged for about 8 months in stainless steel tanks. Its vineyards rest on limestone soils with clay and gravel inserts, giving the wine intense and subtle aromatic scents, with herbaceous and nutmeg notes, framed by fruity details reminiscent of green apple and ripe apricots.
The Muller Thurgau from the South Tyrolean winery Tramin is a white wine fragrant, fresh, and delicately aromatic, which well represents the elegant style of Alto Adige wines. The grape variety, created in the second half of the nineteenth century by crossing Riesling Renano with Madeleine Royale, has adapted very well to the cool climate and yields the best results at altitude, where it can mature slowly and accumulate intense aromas thanks to temperature fluctuations. The vinification exclusively in steel allows for the preservation of all the fragrance of a varietal profile rich in floral scents and fruity aromas, particularly pleasant and persistent.
The white Muller Thurgau is produced by one of the most well-known and appreciated realities of Alto Adige. Tramin is a winery formed by 300 small winegrower members, managing about 260 hectares of vineyards, divided into tiny plots, located mainly in the Termeno area and surroundings. The most cultivated grape varieties are those traditionally present in the region, both indigenous and international. The possibility of having vines from 250 to 900 meters, allows for planting each variety in the most suitable place for microclimate and soils. The Muller Thurgau is grown at altitude, between 500 and 850 meters above sea level, on soils predominantly of limestone origin, with the presence of clays and gravel. It is in these conditions that it manages to express its best characteristics, maintaining the right freshness, combined with a rich and intense aromatic profile.
The Muller Thurgau Tramin is the typical expression of a white wine from Alto Adige, fine, fresh, and fruity. It is a wine vinified in a very simple way, precisely to keep the personality of the grape variety in the foreground. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine rests in stainless steel tanks for about 8 months. It presents itself with a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The aromas are characterized by notes of apple, white-fleshed fruit, hints of mountain herbs, and spicy nuances of nutmeg. The sip is intense and aromatically rich, with juicy and ripe fruit. The finish is harmonious, with balanced freshness and a savory closure.
