The Niccolò V by Lunae Bosoni is a red wine from Liguria made from Sangiovese, Merlot, and Pollera Nera grapes that come from vineyards grown on pebble-based soils. It presents itself visually with a ruby red color streaked with violet reflections and expresses on the nose notes of spices, black pepper, and cinnamon with a background of leather and ripe red fruit. On the palate, it is warm and very embracing, seductive with soft tannins and a slightly mineral finish.
The “Niccolò V” of Lunae Bosoni is a warm and seductive red wine, with great personality. A blend of three different varieties – Merlot, Pollera Nera, and Sangiovese – on the palate it asserts itself with good minerality, ensuring a sip with a pleasantly dry finish. A label that arises from a deep understanding of the territory and local traditions, reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective to read the future in advance, capable of surprising even in terms of longevity.
The “Niccolò V” Lunae Bosoni originates from Sangiovese, Merlot, and Pollera Nera grapes, an indigenous Ligurian variety cultivated mainly in the Lunigiana area. The vines of these varieties grow using the guyot system within stony soils, rich in skeleton, and the clusters are harvested towards the middle and end of September. The must ferments in steel containers at a controlled temperature, remaining in contact with the skins for 12 days. The final maturation phase takes place first, for 12 months in French oak barriques and then, once the bottling operations are completed, for another 6 months directly in glass.
The “Niccolò V” signed by the Lunae Bosoni winery presents itself visually with a ruby red color, characterized by some light shades tending more towards purple, especially visible at the rim. The nose opens to a whirlwind of spicy notes, enriched by echoes of ripe fruit and hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate, it has excellent body, with a broad and enveloping sip, which unfolds delicately thanks to a tannic structure finely integrated into the overall framework. On the taste, a slight savoriness is perceived. An intense Ligurian red, ideal for pairing with game dishes and aged cheeses.
