The Pantesco is a Passito di Pantelleria from Cantina Pellegrino, robust and with an intense gold color. Its Zibibbo grapes are cultivated from Pantelleria bush vines, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, at 300 meters above sea level on volcanic soil. Warm and sweet on the palate, it presents complex aromas with notes of figs, dates, and apricots.

The Passito di Pantelleria “Pantesco” from the Pellegrino winery is a dessert wine with a seductive, soft, and rich character, expressing a pleasantly sweet sip. It is made with the historic grape variety of Pantelleria, the Moscato d’Alessandria or Zibibbo, which is widespread throughout the Mediterranean basin and has found in this small island a particularly favorable habitat to produce great wines. It is a passito of great charm, combining fruity richness with a clear drinkability, without excess opulence and excessive sweetness.

 The “Pantesco” is a Passito di Pantelleria that arises from the work of the most important winery on the Sicilian island. For over a century, Pellegrino has been producing traditional wines that express the best excellences of Sicily. The grapes come from Zibibbo vines grown in bush training on the island of Pantelleria, at an altitude rising up to 300 meters above sea level. The climate is typically Mediterranean, warm and dry, always very windy. The harvest takes place during the first and second decade of September and the grapes are pressed very gently. The must is started on fermentation with the addition of dried grapes, in order to enrich the aromatic density of the wine. Before bottling, the passito matures in steel tanks for ten months.

The Passito di Pantelleria "Pantesco", produced by the Sicilian winery Pellegrino, is a label that very well expresses the warm and golden atmospheres of the beautiful island of Pantelleria. In the glass, it presents a beautiful intense gold color with bright amber reflections. The aromatic profile offers very intense aromas of candied fruit, dehydrated apricot, orange peel, soft honeyed hints and nuances of sweet spices. Rich and enveloping, it has a sweet and gentle sip, which unfolds harmoniously towards a very persistent and pleasantly fresh finish.  It is a wine that pairs very well with small dry pastries, almond paste-based sweets, aged cheeses with intense flavor.
